• An apron called Amma

Here’s our designer Sharon Holliday wearing the apron she helped create. Sharon specialises in typography and she wanted to design something that had Tamil lettering on it. Our sewing unit is located in Tamilnadu in Southern India and all the women who work there are Tamils. The whirls and curls of the beautiful Tamil lettering inspired her to create a design which reads ‘Amma’ or ‘mother’ in Tamil. The small lettering in the background is also in Tamil and they read ‘Mums working to create a better future for their children’. How wonderful is that?
