This is a new series which charts the day as it unfolds in the lives of the women in our sewing unit in India. Meet our 33-year old supervisor Geetha.

“My day begins at 5 o clock. I cook my family’s breakfast and get their lunch ready. I usually make idlis and chutney. Some days I make a sambar as well. For lunch I cook rice and a kuzhambu, some poriyal and fish.”

“By 7.45, I have to get my children ready for school. This is my 14-year old daughter Deepika. She is studying 9th standard at a local school. I want my children to study hard and get ahead in life.”
